Q. How much does the TETPC membership cost?

A. There is no membership fee for TETPC. We've negotiated the best possible prices for the databases listed. See our 2009-2010 Order Form.

Q. Do we have to apply for membership in TETPC?

A. There is no membership for TETPC.

Q. Do we need to have an Interlocal Agreement?

A. ESC Region XI has complied with the legal RFP process or secured sole source certification for all vendors. Districts who wish to purchase through the TEPTC program may need to sign and return the Interlocal Agreement to ESC Region XI with the district purchase orders. It can be printed from the links below.

If your district is a member of the Educational Purchasing Cooperative of North Texas (EPCNT), you do not need to sign an Interlocal Agreement. ESC Region XI has signed an Interlocal Agreement with EPCNT that allows all participants in that cooperative to purchase electronic information resources through ESC Region XI.
To find out if your district is a member of EPCNT? Check here:
http://www.lisd.net/purchasing/EPCNThomepage1.htm

If your district is not a member, you may download the two TETPC Interlocal Agreement forms at:

http://www.tetpc.net/tetpcinterlocalpg1.pdf
http://www.tetpc.net/tetpcinterlocalpg2.pdf

Please print out both forms, sign and fax a copy to TETPC at 817-740-3650.

Q. We've done an Interlocal Agreement with TETPC and ESC Region XI in the past. Do we need to have an Interlocal Agreement for every year?

A. No, the Interlocal Agreement is good from the date of the Agreement until either party terminates it. To see if your district has an Interlocal Agreement, please contact Bonnie Barnes at 817-740-3613 or bbarnes@esc11.net.

Q. Our district purchases databases for other schools in the district but we don’t have anything. How can I get some databases for my school?

A. Contact your district librarian or representative to find out what you can get for your campus. Your district may purchase databases for the campuses or your campus may purchase the databases individually.

Q. Who do I make the Purchase Order (PO) out to?

A. Education Service Center Region XI

Q. May I send in one Purchase Order for my complete order?

A. Yes, please separate the Vendors and Amounts on the Purchase Order, but one Purchase Order is all that is required. Please make the Purchase Order out to ESC Region XI.

Q. May I order my databases at anytime during the school year?

A. Yes, orders are accepted at anytime throughout the school year. Most service for new customers will be established within 1 week to 10 days. You may send in your order without a Purchase Order Number earlier, but the order won't be processed until we receive a Purchase Order Number. Orders are processed as soon as they arrive in our office with a signed Purchase Order.

Q. How do we purchase Facts on File?

A. The Facts on File Databases Secondary Package is available at the lowest price in Texas only through TETPC. A special Elementary offering of the Curriculum Resource Center Jr. Edition is available at a special discounted rate of $160 per school.

Your district or campus may purchase Facts on File through TETPC. See the 2009-2010 Order Form for current prices or the special pricing for Facts on File at http://www.tetpc.net/tetpc_new.htm.

Q. Can we purchase EBSCO or Encyclopedia Britannica?

A. The EBSCO Research Host Databases and Encyclopedia Britannica are now available free through the Texshare K12 database program at: http://web.esc20.net/k12databases/default.htm . Additional products for EBSCO are available through TETPC.

Q. What do we get with our Educational Technology/Distance Learning/Library and Media Services contract? Is it different for a private school?

A. Please see the information on Educational Technology Contracts 2009-2010 on our website at http://www.esc11.net/edtech/randy
