Q. How much does the TETPC membership cost?

A. There is no membership fee for TETPC. We've negotiated the best possible prices for the databases listed. See our 2008-2009 Order Form.

Q. Do we have to apply for membership in TETPC?

A. Districts from across the state may participate in many of the group purchases but participation by districts outside of Region XI depends on the vendor imposed restrictions and the negotiated pricing limitations. Districts should check each product or service posting to see if they are eligible to purchase through the cooperative.

Q. Do we need to have an Interlocal Agreement?

A. ESC Region XI has complied with the legal RFP process or secured sole source certification for all vendors. Districts who wish to purchase through the TEPTC program may need to sign and return the Interlocal Agreement to ESC Region XI with the district purchase orders. It can be printed from the links below.

If your district is a member of the Educational Purchasing Cooperative of North Texas (EPCNT), you do not need to sign an Interlocal Agreement. ESC Region XI has signed an Interlocal Agreement with EPCNT that allows all participants in that cooperative to purchase electronic information resources through ESC Region XI.
To find out if your district is a member of EPCNT? Check here:
http://www.lisd.net/purchasing/EPCNThomepage1.htm

If your district is not a member, you may download the two TETPC Interlocal Agreement forms at:

http://www.tetpc.net/tetpcinterlocalpg1.pdf
http://www.tetpc.net/tetpcinterlocalpg2.pdf

Please print out both forms, sign and fax a copy to TETPC at 817-740-3650.

Q. Our district purchases databases for other schools in the district but we don’t have anything. How can I get some databases for my school?

A. Contact your district librarian or representative to find out what you can get for your campus. Your district may purchase databases for the campuses or your campus may purchase the databases individually.

Q. Who do I make the Purchase Order (PO) out to?

A. Education Service Center Region XI

Q. May I send in one Purchase Order for my complete order?

A. Yes, we prefer a separate Purchase Order for each vendor, but you may separate the Vendors and Amounts on the Purchase Order. Please make the Purchase Order out to ESC Region XI.

Q. I can't make the September 20th deadline for ordering? May I order later?

A. Yes, you may send in your order without a Purchase Order Number earlier, but the order won't be processed until we receive a Purchase Order Number. We will try to accommodate you after the September 20th deadline, too.

Q. Is Thomson-Gale available this year?

A. Yes, Thomson Gale is a vendor for 2008-2009 school year. See our 2008-2009 Order Form.

Q. Is Grolier available this year?

Q. Is World Book available this year?

A. Yes, World Book is now available through TETPC for the 2008-2009 school year. See our 2007-2008 Order Form.

Q. How do we purchase Facts on File?

A. The Facts on File Databases Package is free of charge for districts in Region XI who are members of the Educational Technology/Distance Learning/Library and Media Services Cooperative. Check with your district business office to determine if you are a member.

If you are located outside of Region XI, your district may purchase Facts on File through TETPC. See the 2008-2009 Order Form for current prices.
